Summer came early this year with the launch of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla at an exquisite event curated by Yellow Moon Marketing on behalf of Diageo.
The orange tinge that slightly stains the bottle is reminiscent of the bright sunsets during sundowners that mark our summer evenings.
The gin gives off an aroma of
orange and pink grapefruit.
On the first sip, your palate is hit with underlying juniper and coriander notes that magnificently complement the sweetness and sharpness that characterizes the orange fruit. Paired with tonic, the gin makes for a beautiful drink with its fun, summery flavours.
With each sip, you can almost taste the sun, or the warmth that accompanies summer evenings.
Reminiscent of a summer garden party,
the upmarket Tapas Ceviche in 14 Riverside
was beautifully decorated with orange accents as well as miniature faux orange trees that paid homage to Seville, Spain. Models dressed in orange and green couture gowns by Kenyan designer MUYISHIME gave the event a luxe feel, comparable to haute couture runway shows that inspired the design choices. The gowns striked a balance between the simple, and the complex with their large bell sleeves and intricate ruching, complimenting the venue’s decor with its colours and detail oriented decor.
A signature Tanqueray scent that captured the essence of Sevilla oranges was carefully crafted for the event, a homage to the luxurious experience that the gin promises to deliver. Characterised by its zesty and fresh notes, the scent smelt like sunshine in a bottle evoking a feeling reminiscent of summers under the sun.

floral accents, hints of orange and intricate yet fun elements in their choice of fashion. Nelly Mwangi’s baby pink one shoulder with ruffled detail was the perfect balance of fun and sophistication- a look she completed with a high ponytail that complemented the vibe and feel.
Joy Kendi brought out the florals to play with a high neck dress that she beautifully accessorised with a pearl headband and orange mini bag. In line with the day’s theme, media personality Lillian Muli’s choice of outfit brought out the summer feel with her yellow, knee length summer dress.
An afternoon filled with
fun and great music,
